Would you like to contribute to this as Residence Manager in Amsterdam?

As a Residence Manager, you are the first and important point of contact for the students living in your residence. You'll be the person of choice to trust for residents, parents, neighbours and educational institutions and create a real sense of community. this position is open for 32-40 hours a week.

Job description:

  • You will support students with their check-in and check-out. This includes handing over the keys and house rules, as well as conducting a final check of the room on exit
  • You are available for emergencies, as well as minor incidents with students outside office hours (9am-17pm) and on weekends
  • Beyond that, you focus on facility management. For example, you monitor general cleanliness as well as waste flows in the building
  • You monitor the energy management and sustainability of the residence
  • In consultation with the Property Manager, you plan preventive maintenance on a regular basis (taking the maintenance contracts into account) and draw up a report on this. You carry out minor repairs yourself
  • You document the building in a structured way. You keep track of all technical and other information in an orderly manner. You also exchange your best practices with your colleagues Residence Managers

Your profile:

  • You have a hands-on mentality and can cope with a great bunch of students
  • You are self-confident and able to analyse situations and act accordingly
  • You are flexible and dynamic, but also possess the necessary maturity
  • You communicate fluently in Dutch and English
  • You have a drivers licence
  • You work easily with the MS Office package
