On Tuesday 4 July 2023, our brand new residence Hertz in Quartier Bleu Hasselt, has been officially opened. Together with our project developers and mayor Steven Vandeput, we cut the inaugural ribbon. ✂️
This former boarding school was transformed by Vestio, Urbicoon and Gillen Real Estate into a unique student residence that can accommodate up to 161 students. An impressive project that local residents were very curious about. Therefore, in addition to students and partners, we were happy to invite the neighbourhood to join us in admiring the final result. Our first resident, student Marco was also invited and received a symbolic first key from CEO Christian Teunissen. 🔑
Located in the heart of Hasselt, close to UHasselt, Hertz features carefully designed rooms with private bathrooms that will add value to the city as both the number of national and international students increase significantly. Residence Hertz is equipped with a large modern kitchen with lounge and several common areas with recreational facilities and, as an added bonus, a large garden. As a finishing touch, the front facade was finished by artist Roberto Ciredz with his work 'FLOOD'. Everything is present to create a strong sense of community among the students!
We are already looking forward to welcoming students to their brand new room in September! 🥳
