Grand opening: Xior Zaragoza!

🥂 On 26 September, we officially opened Xior Zaragoza!

We are very proud of the result of this remarkable project. These historic buildings of the former Pontoneros military complex (dating from 1792-1799) were transformed into a beautiful residence that provides a second home to 382 students. The Xior Zaragoza residence has a total of 340 rooms with private bathrooms, several communal kitchens, game and cinema rooms, study areas, catering services and even a gym. In short, the residence provides everything to ensure that our students feel at home and have a great first living experience. The building is located close to all major universities in the city and just a 15-minute walk from the city centre. Thanks to the fantastic work of our teams and partners, we were able to sustainably restore the buildings to their former glory and help revitalise the Pignatelli neighbourhood. The residence achieved Energy Certification Type A and will also be recognised with an international Leed Certification. 

The official opening was the cherry on top of this wonderful project. CEO Christian Teunissen cut the inaugural ribbon, followed by a tour of the brand new residence and a meeting with the mayor of Zaragoza.
