On 22 October, our new student residence Drie Eiken in Wilrijk, Antwerp was festively opened ✨
Xior CEO Christian Teunissen and rector of the University of Antwerp Herwig Leirs cut the opening ribbon together. Afterwards, the building's first tenant, Valentine, was handed a symbolic key. Students, construction partners, university staff and neighbours were also present to celebrate the residency. 🥂
The modern residence accommodates 334 students (including 120 rooms at a budget-friendly rent) and includes several common areas where students can socialise. Think relaxation areas, study zones and spacious shared kitchens.
The building is located in the middle of the University of Antwerp Drie Eiken campus. Together with the planned opening of a sports hall and a student restaurant, the residence will revive this campus.
The entire Xior team is immensely proud of the outcome of this project. Thank you to all the teams, partners and others involved for their support! We hope all the students will find their second home here. 🏡
