Are you our new Residence Manager in Ghent?
Your impact
As Residence Manager, you are the face of our residence and our rental office in Ghent. You are the first point of contact for current and future residents, ensuring that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes as well as on the front line.
From giving students a warm welcome to managing the rental process and ensuring the residence is well maintained, you play a key role in creating an outstanding living experience for our residents.
No two days are the same. You'll combine administration, customer service, organisation and coordination of technical matters in one varied and rewarding role.
What you'll do
Guide prospective residents during viewings and ensure a smooth rental process.
Prepare tenancy agreements and accurately manage related administration and payments.
Welcome new residents and coordinate check-ins and check-outs.
Act as the first point of contact for students via email, phone and at reception.
Handle questions and complaints, ensuring timely and professional follow-up.
Carry out check-out inspections.
Ensure compliance with the house rules.
Perform minor repairs or coordinate external technical contractors when needed.
Follow up on maintenance and repair works and keep residents informed.
Contribute to creating a safe, welcoming and vibrant living environment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, neighbours and local partners.
Who you are
You're someone who enjoys working with people and taking responsibility. You like to stay organised and thrive in a dynamic environment where every day brings something different.
In addition, you:
work accurately and have strong administrative skills;
are customer-oriented and communicate confidently with students and colleagues;
have a hands-on mentality and enjoy finding practical solutions;
have technical insight (an advantage, but not essential);
can work independently while also being a true team player;
remain organised, even during busy periods;
are familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and quickly learn new systems;
have an excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken;
experience in facility management, real estate or hospitality is a plus, but certainly not required.
