With the acquisition of Basecamp, we now have buildings with a BREEAM or LEED certificate in our portfolio. 🏆
In Poland, our properties Lodz II (55.8%) and Katowice (63.4%) have BREEAM certification Very Good. In Germany, our residences in Leipzig and Potsdam have LEED certification Gold.
What’s a BREEAM certificate? BREEAM stands for Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method. This method allows projects to be assessed for integral sustainability. There are six levels of assessment: Unclassified (<30%), Pass (≥30%), Good (≥45%), Very Good (≥55), Excellent (≥70%) and Outstanding (≥85%).
What’s a LEED certificate? LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. LEED certified buildings save money, improve efficiency, lower carbon emissions and create healthier places for people. They are a critical part of addressing climate change and meeting ESG goals, enhancing resilience, and supporting more equitable communities. Projects go through a verification and review process by GBCI and are awarded points that correspond to a level of LEED certification: Certified (40-49 points), Silver (50-59 points), Gold (60-79 points) and Platinum (80+ points).
We remain committed to making our buildings more sustainable! 🌱
