We are looking for:

We are looking for Assistant BaseManager who is passionate about bringing people together in an international environment. The Assistant BaseManager (ABM) plays an active role in shaping a world-class residential experience for our student residents. Enjoying a wide range of independence, you would assist the Basecamp Manager (BM) in overseeing the daily operation of the property with a focus on building community and supporting the administration of student residents. In addition, you will be a part of the overall day-to-day management team of our venue. The ABM works with the BM to meet financial, operational, and community goals for the whole of the operation. We are looking for talented hospitality and accommodation professionals who love fast-paced, performance-driven, and people-centered environments to join our team.

Job description: 

  • Support the overall operation and day-to-day management of the student residence
  • Assist the Basecamp Manager with revenue and expense management, rent collection, and other financial and operational matters
  • Oversee and lead the community building and engagement efforts by supporting the activities and expectations of the proven community program including welcoming, events, resident support, and other areas
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a smaller team of student employees called Basebuddies
  • Coordinate and manage the moving in and out of residents, and all other related tasks, to maximize occupancy and revenue
  • Ensure the student experience meets the corporate standards and expectations.
  • Deliver high-level customer service; be responsive and friendly to resident needs; respond promptly to student requests and complaints
  • Provide support and help with students’ questions and concerns
  • Perform regular inspections and walk-throughs of the property
  • Create marketing and internal communication for residents
  • Provide emergency assistance outside of working hours
  • Continuously learn and develop; participate in meetings and training
  • Other duties as assigned

Your profile:

  • Experience with managing hospitality or accommodation property
  • Organized and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities at once
  • Proven event planner and guest relations experience
  • Leadership and supervision experience are preferred.
  • Desire to work with apprentice, university, professional, and executive-level students
  • High-level customer service and communication skills
  • A go-getter who takes initiative and is not afraid to solve problems
  • Positive attitude with a desire to solve problems and help others
  • Team-oriented approach
  • Experience with an international environment
  • Proficiency in English and fluency in the local language
  • Ability to work with various software including property management, booking software, financial reporting, and MS Office
