Would you like to contribute to this as Revenue Manager in our headquarters in Antwerp?

The Revenue Manager is responsible for maximising the revenue and profitability of our assets (= student accommodation & short-stay formulas and hotel concepts such as Roxi, for example), by implementing effective Revenue Management strategies. This role includes analysing market trends, optimising prices and inventory, and collaborating with various departments to achieve financial goals.

Job description: 

1.Revenue Optimisation:

  • You will develop and implement Revenue Management strategies to maximise room occupancy, average daily, weekly or monthly rates and revenue per available room (RevPAR).
  • You perform market and competitive analysis, monitor industry trends and identify opportunities to take advantage of any demand and price fluctuations.
  • You know how to use Revenue Management systems and tools to analyse data, forecast demand and optimise prices and inventory availability.
  • You assess and adjust pricing strategies on a regular basis based on demand, seasonality, events and competitive factors.

2. Pricing and inventory management:

  • You define and manage pricing strategies for different types of rooms, packages and distribution channels to maximise revenue and market share.
  • You maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory controls to ensure optimal distribution through various online travel agencies (OTAs), direct bookings and other channels.
  • You monitor and manage group and temporary inventory to balance profitability and occupancy levels.
  • You implement dynamic pricing strategies, including the use of fare gates and yield techniques, to maximise revenue potential.

3. Data analysis and reporting:

  • You collect and analyse data related to bookings, revenue and market performance.
  • You generate regular reports and provide insight into key performance indicators (KPIs) such as occupancy, RevPAR and market share.
  • You identify trends, patterns and opportunities for revenue growth and operational improvements.
  • You work with the finance department to ensure accurate revenue reporting and forecasting.

4. Collaboration and communication:

  • You work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align Revenue Management strategies with promotional activities, demand generation and sales initiatives.
  • You will work with the operations teams to optimise booking processes and ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • You will communicate Revenue Management strategies, performance updates and recommendations to the COO and senior management team and relevant stakeholders.
  • You will provide training and guidance to employees on Revenue Management principles.

5. Industry knowledge and benchmarking:

  • You are always aware of industry trends, competitive analyses and best practices
  • You compare hospitality business performance with industry standards and identify potential room for improvement.
  • You attend industry conferences, seminars and networking events to further enhance your knowledge and build professional relationships.

Your profile:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field and have already gained a first experience in Revenue Management
  • You have strong analytical and numerical insight and also know how to use prognosis techniques
  • You are familiar with hotel property management systems (PMS) and central reservation systems (CRS)
  • You are proficient in MS Office and other data analysis software
  • You know how to perform under pressure, distinguish main issues from side issues and meet deadlines in a highly dynamic environment
