Xior announces the (provisional) delivery and purchase of the brand new Ernest Mélot residence in Namur with 216 student rooms, of which 12 studios are rented out at a social rental price through "Gestion Logement Namur", an A.I.S. (Agence Immobilière Sociale) of the Walloon Region. In addition to the student rooms, several common areas are also provided, such as a large multipurpose room with leisure facilities, a gym and a bike shed.
This project, developed by the joint venture Baltissimmo NV / Promiris NV, was announced in July 2019 and completed in September 2022. Meanwhile, the first students have moved into the building. Located in a prime location close to various educational institutions (such as the University of Namur, among others) and the Namur train station, the residence is the first Xior residence in this Walloon student city.
